Dry Mouth and Bad Breath

When your mouth feels dry, gritty and sticky, this is a very alarming situation! These are signs that you have a dry mouth. Before you do anything else, you have to drink water immediately.

This is a cause of bad breath so you need to make sure that you keep your mouth hydrated all the time. Your saliva removes the bacteria that thrive inside your mouth which causes bad breath. Every time you swallow, you flush away the bacteria that are stuck inside. So the drier your mouth is, the higher the risk is for bad breath.

The only solution that you have to dry mouth is to drink lots of water every day. You should drink about 8-10 glasses of water to keep your mouth as hydrated as possible. This is the only way that you can be sure that your breath fresh. Besides, it can really be embarrassing to talk to someone when you have bad breath, right?

Stay away from drinks like coffee, juice, soda and other sweet drinks. Since these contain sugar, these increase the chance of having bad breath. You should always minimize drinking these when you do not want your breath to stink. Try and drink water when you can to keep your breath from stinking.

On occasions that you cannot drink water or drink sugary drinks, you need to be ready all the time. Always have mint or gum with you that you can chew on when your mouth feels dry. This can instantly give you fresher breath, anytime or anywhere you are.

Since your mouth produces saliva as you chew, it can keep your mouth hydrated. Now that you know the facts about having a dry mouth, you should be aware of these things. Save yourself from the embarrassment of having halitosis. Be confident all the time!
